Camp Cross

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Because He loved, He gave; and we believe. Because we believe, we love, and share His everlasting life.

Look What the Lord Has Done!

For the last few years, we've undertaken a program of remodeling and repairing some of our Servicemen’s Homes. This has been so gratifying; watching as prayers and hard work have resulted in beautiful new facilities for our military outreach.

It all started in July of 2014, under the pastorate of Pastor and Sister R. Jason, Jr. when he spoke with members of our ministry leadership about his desire to update and remodel the Servicemen's Homes. The original home was pretty much as it had been since it was purchased in 1990 or so. Under his pastorate and stewardship, the church had grown and was in a financial position to update and upgrade. As he shared his desire our ministry leadership began to get a vision of what could be.

One year later after much brainstorming, planning, and the arrival of our new pastor, Pastor J. L. Fulmer, the demo began — The plan was to turn the original home into a bunkhouse for the soldiers with their own small kitchen, lounge, bedrooms and to add two bathrooms.

The 2nd home next door, which had originally been purchased to be a church and then, after the purchase of our own church building on Dallas Street in the year 2000, had been used as a kind of overflow facility, would be turned into the HOME where dinners and fellowships would be conducted for our Soldiers.

Here’s a little look at the before, during and after the remodel.

Serving In Our Community!

Group Pic

After the ravages of Hurricane Florence, a group

of faithful Soldiers from our church pulled together

and started doing what God has called all of His

people to other people who are in need!

We began with our immediate community by cutting

up fallen trees, raking yards, and moving yard debris

to the curb for pick up. This was truly an experience

of unity for our church and our community and I'm

glad to be part of a Christian church that pulls

together for such a time as this!

If you're looking for a church that is making

a difference in this world, starting with our community,

visit us THIS Sunday at 11:00 a.m. and you'll be glad

you did!

We look forward to meeting you!

God Bless,
