What is a Servicemen's Home?

A Servicemen's Home is both a church and a home for military personnel where they are welcome and wanted at all hours of the day or night. It's a place of refuge where they can receive Christian fellowship, prayer, devotions, and friendship. Truly a Christian "home away from home."

The Home in Waegwan-Camp Carroll

The Servicemen's Home has a rich history of faith and encouragement for many, many servicemembers; established several years ago. Through the years lives have been touched and enriched and as one person put it - "fellowship, fellowship, fellowship," that is the key to, and the purpose of, a servicemen's home and church. To fellowship means to join together.

We're not offering the fellowship of the world. The fellowship of Christ and of a Christian character should be the by-word of all servicemen's homes and churches. We should realize that everyone wishes to be a part. Everyone wishes to have friends, people with whom they can communicate. They search for a common denominator in their lives. Christ is this common denominator for a Christian servicemen's home.

Many men and women today who know Christ, who are working for Christ in various calls of the ministry, trace their beginnings to a Servicemen's Home. We are thankful for all who have come before us, those who worked to make the Home a place of victory and hope for the military stationed here.

As New Testament Christian Churches of America, Inc. celebrates over fifty years, we give God all the glory for what he has done here in Korea and particulary here at Camp Carroll. We look forward to continuing the mission to reach out to our military and their families.
