Bible Study

Learning and Growing in God's Word

2 Timothy 3:16-17  "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  [17]  That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

We believe that a firm foundation in the Word of God is essential for every Christian believer. By God's Word we understand how that we ought to conduct ourselves so that other's may see Christ through us. The Bible study is a means to such an end. It focuses on teaching the Scriptures and showing how that we may apply it's lessons to our life.

The Harmony of the Gospels

The four Gospels give us an understanding of the life of Jesus Christ, His mission and the will of the Father, which was fulfilled in Him. A study of all four Gospels gives us an overview of what Christ went through during His time on earth in chronological order.

The motivation and method of this study is the same as Luke in writing his Gospel account. Luke 1(1-4)  “Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,  [2]  Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;  [3]  It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,  [4]  That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.”

The final chapter of Luke provides Christ’s mission in a nutshell. Luke 24(44-47)  "And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.  [45]  Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,  [46]  And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:  [47]  And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."
