Fall Conference 2011
"And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God." (Philippians 1:9-11)
A person's approval can be hard to gain! The Bible text for our theme this Conference comes from Phil. 1 (9-11) and reveals the earnest desire of the Apostle for the church in Philippi; that they would have proper judgment. He wanted their approving gaze to be on things that are truly excellent. All the promises and blessings of God are most excellent, yet none surpass His excellency! Some approve other things, and despise Christ, but the right thing to delight in is our great God who doeth all things well!
Lunch will be served each afternoon at the Dining Hall, (not free this time, but cheap) followed by a one-hour workshop. In the World Missons Workshop, each of our Missionaries will give a brief presentation about their work and the wonderful things God is doing in their places of labor. The Music Workshop will be a continuation of the 'Mastering your Music' Workshop held during the Spring Conference in Graham, WA..Finally, we're planning a nostalgic event and Workshop about the vision for Servicemen's Ministry and its origins. We'll have a slideshow of some of the beginnings of New Testament Christian Churches of America, some information about Servicemen's Ministry, and even take a look at the original 1970s Tillicum Servicemen's Home Guestbook! You will probably recognize some of the names.
