NTCC National Campground
Solitude...
The NTCC National Campground is for use by members of New Testament Christian Churches of America, Inc. and primarily used for Campmeetings/ Conferences on either an annual or semi-annual basis. You can also spend time at the Camp when there is no Conference. One of the greatest things the Campground offers is solitude. Its Missouri location offers you four distinct seasons to choose from, one of the most beautiful being Autumn. There's Walnut trees, and Oaks and Maples and Catalpha trees. You'll hear many songbirds, watch Canadian Geese floating in the front lake, and even hear the owls in the evening. A still pond soothes the mind and soul as you enjoy the fresh air and watch the setting sun. This Campground in truly a peaceful, restorative retreat for the soul.
Camp Meetings
NTCC hosts annual/ semi-annual Campmeetings/ Conferences at the Campground, as well as occasional Regional Conferences across the US and sometimes in Asia. The Campground started in 1986 with the purchase of 80 acres of farmland. Through the hard work and giving of many people, God has provided a wonderful, beautiful Camp in a central location for our Conferences. Since its inception, the Campground has acquired adjoining property and has expanded to over 140 acres.
A Progressive Work
The NTCC National Campground has for years provided a wonderful facility for hosting NTCC General Conferences; especially since its auditorium is large enough to seat over 1,200 people. From the purchase of the land in 1986 until now, the progressive building program has transformed this farmland into a beautiful, restful retreat. What is now the Dining Hall was once the Tabernacle, until the present, larger Tabernacle was built. In 1999, an adjoining parcel of land with a dilapidated farmhouse was acquired and remodeled for Conference lodging, and later the land behind it (directly across from the Dining Facility) was also added to the Campground bringing it to approximately 145 acres.
When the first portion of land was purchased, there was one small farmhouse by the entrance. It was torn down and rebuilt. In addition, the Lodge, two single dormitories and several married couple's residences were built. The dorms overlook one of the Camp's two man-made lakes. The bathrooms and showers were open style, and people walked from their rooms to use them. But in 1995 the first two-story lodging facility was constructed with private bathrooms for each room. Over the next ten years, all lodging facilities were remodeled to include private bathrooms for each room on the Camp as well.
In 2002 the seating capacity of the Dining Facility was nearly doubled by adding a lower level extension. Some new restroom facilities were also added next to the Tabernacle making it more convenient for ladies with children.
One necessary improvement was the paving and road-widening project completed in '09, costing $28,172.52. The widening of the main road leading from the entrance to the Dining Facility helps to keep people from having to walk in the muddy grass! Last year a new lodging facility with ten rooms, known as building "N" was completed at a cost of $75,000.
The annual operating cost of the Campground is over $100,000.00, not including the costs of construction mentioned above. One Conference generates approximately $40,000.00, nowhere near covering the costs. The blessing is that it enables us to have a place to host the Conferences and keep rooms affordable for those who wish to stay on the Camp. God is good! He has made it all possible through the selfless service of many who have labored there, and the giving of many who have a desire to be part. All donations to the Campground are tax-deductible and greatly appreciated.
